Sports Acupuncture seems to be the most efficient, effective and longest lasting way to relieve pain, improve mobility and enhance performance whether you are an athlete recovering from a sports injury, or an office working looking to get through your 9 to 5 pain free.
Sports acupuncture combines advanced acupuncture techniques with manual therapy and corrective exercises based on our modern understanding of anatomy and neuroscience. During a session, we conduct a thorough assessment to uncover underlying structural imbalances. From posture and gait analysis to evaluating mobility and strength, every detail matters in pinpointing root causes of imbalance. This personalized approach allows us to tailor treatments to address weakness, tension, inflammation and imbalance effectively and efficiently.
Treatments include advanced techniques like the activation of motor points which are specific points within muscles that directly impact function and movement, and electroacupuncture which involves applying a gentle electric current to acupuncture needles to enhance treatment effectiveness and targeted soft tissue therapies to further reduce tissue adhesion, mobility and function for lasting results.
Sessions last about 30minutes each and are repeated 2x/week for the first 1-3 weeks depending on your concerns and spaced out further as your symptoms improve.
